J.N.M. Verboekend/Books of Mouse

As the youngest of five children, Judith (JNM Verboekend), the founder of Books of Mouse, crept through the house looking for books that her parents did not yet consider suitable for her. Her love for books has never faded, and her brother still calls her Mouse. Because her brother was the one who instilled in her a love for fantasy books, Judith named her publishing house 'Books of Mouse'.

Dutch fantasy writer Judith Verboekend (1987) grew up in Montfoort, where she wrote stories for her stuffed animals as a child. In 2020, she moved with her husband and two children to Eksel (Belgium). Surrounded by the beautiful Eksel forests, her inspiration for writing stories grew again, and in December 2022, Judith put her first musings on paper for 'De koepels van macht' and 'The path of lies and riddles', both of which were published in 2025.
