She has been dreaming up stories for as long as she can remember. For the shy child she once was, those stories became a way to find the courage to face the real world. The worlds she created felt safe – places where she could truly be herself.

It's no surprise, then, that her stories often centre around children and young people who feel like they don't quite belong and are trying to find their place in the world. Through her writing, Lidewei hopes to help them find a place that feels like home and, perhaps most importantly, remind them that they are not alone.

Because in our own way, aren't we all searching for that one little corner of the world we can call home?

And Lidewei isn't just bringing her stories to Romance Festival. She'll also take to the stage for a special live performance featuring vocals and harp. ✨🤍
