Laura Landers finds inspiration in the most unexpected places: an abandoned gas station, a strange look on the street, an obscure Google search term that is absolutely impossible to explain to her internet provider. There are never enough hours in a day to write, so don't hold it against her when her eyes glaze over during a conversation. It's not you; it is her own imagination running wild.

The stories are everywhere.

She lives with her family in the quiet, green Kempen region of Flanders. While the baby sleeps, the dog snores, and the coffee has been reheated a second time, she writes scenes to the raw sounds of Rammstein or other rock and metal bands.

Laura is hopelessly in love with Italy. She married the love of her life there, seizes every excuse to book a flight for a week of 'dolce far niente', and dreams aloud of a cozy B&B atop a Tuscan hill.

Until then, she writes about the dark side of La Bella Vita. The complexity of the underworld, power, loyalty, tradition, betrayal, and desire… these are the themes that bring her characters to life. You can always seduce her with an espresso martini, tasty pasta, or the words: 'Pack your bags, we're going on vacation'.
